Jeremy McDonough, the Mr. Lister behind Mr. Lister Realty, believes buying or selling a home should not cost more simply because “that’s the way it has always been done.”

For more than 25 years, Jeremy has built his career around helping people make smarter real estate decisions while keeping more of the equity they have worked so hard to build. His career began in the mortgage industry, giving him a unique understanding of the financial side of homeownership before he moved into real estate sales, brokerage, and business ownership.

Over the course of his career, Jeremy has helped more than 2,500 families buy and sell homes and facilitated over $1.8 billion in real estate sales. In 2021, he acquired Mr. Lister Realty from founder Maynard Gottlieb with a vision to modernize the real estate experience while staying true to the values that matter most: service, transparency, and care.

Jeremy saw an opportunity to challenge the traditional real estate model. He believed homeowners deserve more choices, transparent pricing, and the freedom to select the level of service that fits their needs, not a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether it is a buyer rebate, flat-fee listing, discounted commission, or full-service representation, every client deserves exceptional guidance, responsive communication, and expert advocacy from start to finish.

Under Jeremy’s leadership, Mr. Lister Realty has grown into one of Maryland’s Top 10 brokerages by sales volume, helping clients save more than $55 million in commissions while delivering the highest level of professional representation. The brokerage’s success proves that consumers do not have to choose between saving money and receiving outstanding service. They can have both.

Jeremy’s work has been featured in the Baltimore Business Journal, Baltimore Magazine, The Baltimore Sun, and Clever Real Estate. He has also consistently ranked among the region’s top-producing real estate professionals in Baltimore Real Producers. While awards and milestones are meaningful, Jeremy considers his greatest accomplishment to be the trust his clients place in him.
